LITTLE IMMIGRANTS is a collection of short stories scheduled for publication in 2017.
The ideal of the “American,” who belongs, who doesn’t, who is, who isn’t legitimate in this society has been a long running theme in the history of America literature. At times, it inspires. At times, it shames. But always, it teaches us about who we are.
America, the beautiful. America, the great.
But America doesn’t always love its immigrants back. And immigrants don’t always fit into the matrix of what is.
That struggle between the established and the disenfranchised, at times frightening, yet always relevant, causes collisions at the corner of Have and Have Not. And in this intersection of whirling tension, often violent tension, lives become scattered into dreams, broken or mended.
